- Best Boots Ever Review by Cesar Lacayo
I have spent the last four years in the military, and you know what that means, boots galore. Every brand of boots I have tried always seem true in the fit, but when it came to rucking they always failed. Now I am out of the military and working security, again for the government. So I was again in my quest to find boots that fit well, and not just that, I am now older, not in shape, and thanks to Uncle Sam, in pain around the knees ankles and back. I saw these boots at a local shop that sales gear for security and police.... I am glad i made this purchase, I have a year with the boots, they are easy to break it, they help with the pain, and the sipper helps to let the feet breath when I take my break, I am going to buy a second pair soon, and ill use my old ones for the range. - Just ordered my 3rd pair Review by Derek
I love these boots I have been wearing them since may 2011. I am a very active and very busy person. I am a tow truck operator and volunteer fire fighter. I recently tried a popular competitors brand of boots. They lasted me 20 hours from the time of purchase until the time I noticed the zipper was broken. I can't wait until my 3rd pair of magnums comes in the mail (Posted on 2/18/13)
- COMFORT FOR THE COST Review by Jake
I was looking for a good-looking, COMFORTABLE boot for year round use, both in the office and in the field. With the Elite Spider 5.0, I was able to achieve this.
First, the dislikes. I have had to add heel cushions for a softer, more level comfort (having broken both heels makes it very difficult for me to find shoes that are easy on my heels). The zipper could be contoured instead of straight, as this would easy getting in and out.
Now for the good. These boots wear incredibly well. They hold a polish very well also. With the use of the zipper, I find the laces stay tied and don't loosen at all. The heel plate protects the back of the shoe nicely; an area that I find scuffs easily and typically comes apart on most boots. The tongue is comfortable and actually helps hold the boot to the top of the foot.
Overall, these are probably the most comfortable boots that I have ever owned. I would recommend these boots for both daily office duty, as well as field use. (Posted on 1/16/13)
- BEST PAIR I HAVE WORN IN A LONG TIME Review by Anton
I know most people that wear boots like this are in Law Enforcement or the Armed Forces. I don't fit into either category. I work for a major theme park with very strict guidelines for footwear... and everything else you wear. The tough part is finding footwear that meets the guidelines while still allowing me to stand all day without hurting my knees or feet.
I have had these for almost a year now and they still work really well for me. I have enough padding where my knees don't complain about the impact, but the arch support is a bit lacking for my taste. My main thing is the seams. At nearly 1 year into ownership, I can see a bit of delamination happening where the rubber meets the leather. I know that even though this particular pair is not rated to be waterproof (according to the Web site), I can report that my feet remain perfectly dry in heavy rain and deep puddles.
I know I probably come across as a sissy to the guys that get the full range of use out of these boots, but consider this: I spend at least 8 hours a day 7 days a week on some form of hard concrete. I have several pairs of shoes/boots that I could wear, but I inevitably come back to my Magnum Stealth Force 6.0 because they allow me to concentrate on work instead of my feet.
I will admit that I had to change the insoles. I am using a gel insole right now and that has made a lot of difference. The laces are strong and have not broken yet. My No. 1 problem with this pair, and previous pairs, is the inside lining. I can already tell that I will have to replace these in the next few months because the inside lining is wearing really thin and holes are starting to form. Next stop is blisters, but I can probably deal with that later.
Magnum: Thanks for making a great boot. Without them, I would have twisted an ankle, been sited for shoes that don't meet strict guidelines, or been in a wheelchair with sore feet and knees that would be a lot worse than they already are (probably not but you get the idea). (Posted on 1/16/13)
- VERY COMFORTABLE BOOT, LIKE WEARING SNEAKERS Review by Al
For most of my working career, I have tried many boots out. Most of them take time to get used to, don't last long, or are just too heavy and uncomfortable.
The Positive: For starters, about 8 years ago, I started to wear Magnum Boots and have never gone to anything else, nor do I plan on it. The comfort alone is like you're always wearing a pair of slippers or sneakers. They are very lightweight on your feet, especially for people who are always walking around or on the go. My first pair lasted me over 5 years. I work on the railroad and constanly am walking on the ballast's, which are rocks. The tread stays, and you don't slip in the oil or anything wet. They grip the ground very well. The heel is well defined and helps me climb in and out of my trains without any issues. They shine up nicely. I get them shined to help protect them and last long. The shoe laces last fairly long.
Did I say they are comfortable? They are very comfortable... I like to wear them on my days off a lot too, instead of sneakers.
Now the NEGATIVE: The only bad thing I can find is that the shoe lace eye-hole needs improvement. From all the walking, the shoe lace goes back and fourth through the shoe lace hole and cuts through the eyelet and the leather, causing that hole to be useless. (Posted on 1/16/13)
- Magnum Boots are the best Review by AMJ
Having to walk around two facilities covering almost 1.5 million sq ft, almost daily, I wanted a boot that would be light, tough, supportive, and above all, comfortable! A hard find I know... But look no further than the Stealth Force 6.0 SZ.
This is hands down the most comfortable boot I have ever owned... Well made and very comfortable, I recommend this boot to all of our employees. The Side Zipper is well made and does not unzip too easily. The materials are solid, and the soles are durable.
Needless to say... I'll be a Stealth Force 6.0 SZ owner for a long time. (Posted on 1/16/13)
- Great Boots Review by Steven
Love the boots. Lightweight, and still allows good feeling -- which is important for my job as a pilot. This is my second pair of Magnums with the first pair being composite toe, which I still wear after about four years of rough use. (Posted on 1/16/13)
- Old Friend Review by Kim
My first pair of boots when I started working in EMS were the Magnum Stealth Force 6.0 SZ for Women, I have tried many other brands of boots since and have gone back to my "old friend". I have worn my current pair for over a year and they still look new despite the abuse I have put them through. There are not many boot choices for women especially if you have small feet like I do, Magnum gets an "A+" on taking women into consideration and designing a boot that fits and feels more like a sneaker than a boot. In EMS we work long hours and need a boot that will keep up with the demands but yet remain comfortable on your feet. I work 16-24 hr shifts and with other brands couldn't wait to get them off my feet, The Magnum Stealth Force boots are so light and comfortable I can wear them the complete 24 hr. shift without wanting to take them off. They are cool on your feet and the back is made slightly lower and padded so they don't cut into your heel, there is no "break in" period needed, they come out of the box feeling like your favorite pair of sneakers. I live in an area that gets quite a bit of snow, I have worn my Stealth Force boots all through winter and my feet has stayed warm and dry even on accident scenes where we were out in the elements for hours, but yet are cool on your feet in the hot summers. The Magnum Stealth Force are a great "all season" Boot that will Keep up with the Demands of EMS and also keep you looking professional on the job. (Posted on 1/16/13)
