A friend of mine in the security industry recomended these boots. He has been using them for years. I bought my Magnum Stealth Force 8 CT two months ago. I work in an industrial environment and spend most of the day on my feet. From the first day I put these boots on the comfort level far exceeded any other boot I had previously worn. The first thing you notice is how light they are, my feet do not over heat and yet stay warm when standing on cold stone and concreat floors. The memory foam foot bed is really comfortable, the sign of a good boot is when you forget that you are wearing them. Read Less

It's very important to breath. Not just for you and me, but also for shoes (although I'm not entirely sure if that expresison holds in English like it does in my language). Quite a few times I've had shoes that don't breath enough, where sweat has no way to go and heaps up around my feet. When that happens, bacteria find themselves a nice footparadise, creating an awfull smell. Especially after a hard day of walking and other intensive foot use. Nothing of that sort with my Magnums. I've got them for a little over three weeks now, and one thing I notice is that my feet don't smell when I pull them out. It doesn't matter if I take a short walk to the supermarket in front of my house, wear them just a whole day or go actively walking or biking for a few hours: my feet come out clean. It's a sign that good materials are being used for this shoe. When I bought this Stealth Force, I had compared it to other magnums, but choose this one over others because I didn't want any plastic in it. And I'm glad for that decision. I read that there is some kind of anti-bacterial material used in these boots. That certainly helps to prevent the nasty smell. But I wonder if there will be one day that it has worn out. How will the boots uphold their smellless use? I'll cross that bridge when I get there, but I've got good hope for them. Read Less

I have a pair of Stealth boots with serialnr. 303216/V01 and a few days ago I bought a pair of 8'' winterboots with serialnr. HT-1417/D017/137. I bought both at the same army surplus store in Amsterdam, but I never had a box with them, because they were display models at a show.(I don't know the exact name, maybe some of you do know, please tell me!). The stealths are three years old and still feel great, although the sole is coming loose from the upperside of the boot, I may have to glue them together again. The winterboots look like they're from outerspace! Wow, just like Abrams M1 battletanks for your feet!! We have an early winter here in Holland, with 6 to 8 inches of snow already, but my feet are nice and warm in these giant killer-boots! There's 400 grams of Thinsulate inside and that keeps the cold outside. Just remeber to let the boots dry in a normal way and don't forget to polish them every few days, especially with these weather conditions. Thank you Magnum, for giving me warm feet in the winter!! I purchased these boots just in time for Notting Hill Carnival as it was my first event with the SJA Forward Incident Team. This is a particularly grueling event as we walk many miles during the course of two days in very dense and often excitable crowds, answering emergency calls carrying large medical kits for the whole day. I am soooooooooo glad I chose a pair of magnums as they required no breaking in and were so comfortable. after the event my feet we still comfortable and blister free, which I fear would not have been the case with many other boots!! definatly money well spent, recomended to anyone who needs a comfortable, protective boot who values their feet!! Field Testers Register Reviews Videos Activity Official Testers How It Works Add a Review Stealth Force 8.0 Leather CT CP -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Initial ThoughtsBy Mick 09/01/2011 This is the first pair of Magnum boots I have owned. I bought them based on the value they seemed to represent and my previous experience with Hi-Tec boots, which was always very positive. Out of the box the boots are instantly comfortable, so much so that I pulled them on and wore them around the house all day. They seem to be about half the weight of the boots they are replacing and when you wear size 13 weight is a big issue. The quality of the boots seems to be top class and exactly what I was expecting. Fit wise they seem good although the toe box is a touch big. I had read that they are narrow fitting but I have not found this to be the case. I will be trying these out over the next few weekends, mostly on long coastal walks. This involves sand, sea, rocks and boulders for about 6 hours at a time. If these aren't up to the job then this will soon be evidenced. I will report back with my findings. Read Less

I have recently brought these boots just over two months ago, in preparation for the Dartmoor ten tors expedition of which I am doing the 45 miles. In my opinion I believe these boots are designed very well, they break in very easily adjusting to your feet and movement of the ankle, this then allowed for no suffering from rubbing leading to any blisters. As I have been training for ten tors in these boots they have stood up to the Dartmoor terrain very well which is mostly bogs and rough ground and I found them to support my ankles very well. The point that I prefer most about these boots is how well they keep my feet dry through the bogs, which to me is the main importance of any footwear especially when on expeditions. I have also found them very easy to clean and polish. My favourite feature to these boots is the memory foam, as I usually only used the basic British Army boots, I can see the major difference which covers comfort as your feet don’t rub once it adapts to your feet. Another feature that I was impressed by was the light weight of these boots as they are a full leather construction but still weight less than other boots that compete with this style. I believed these boots to be of great value as they are a good price for the high quality of these boots and compared to other companies such as Alt-Berg the price is less but I don’t believe you are getting a lower quality pair of boots. However I have suffered from an issue and that is the laces supplied with these boots are very poor despite being made of paracord I found that mine broke within two weeks simply from long grass and shrubbery picking at the laces causing them to break. I have had these magnums for about 2 years now and they are still going strong. I started wearing Magnum classics longer ago than i care to remember and from then i moved though a few other types until ending up with these CT Stealth’s. The reason for choosing them originally was the need to find a boot that was not heavy and had S3 Toe and Mid Sole protection. These requirements are needed for my main job which includes track walking on the railway for which they are well suited for, the fit is superb and they were really flexible from day one needing little breaking in when compared the boots my company issued for the same job. I have since become a Special Constable for the police and now not only use the boots for my main Job but also for the many hours of patrolling the beat for the police. Even after two years they still polish up superbly and easily to good shine that is great for parade before duty. I would recommend (and have done) to anyone who wants superb comfort at during normal and extended wearing periods. Read Less

I purchased these boots one week ago. I require a good, comfortable, safe boot to wear on daily basis as I am on my feet all day.Based on the short amount of time I have had them I have found these boots to be very comfortable, they had broke in within two days of having them. I like the feature of the kick heel on the back of the boot. They are very well padded and offer good support. I have found them to be extremely light weight compared to safety boots I have worn in the past, it feels as though you are wearing a pair of trainers really. The only downside I have found are the laces. I'm a welder by trade and due to the nature of my work, I have managed to burn the laces already, its a shame they didn't put flame retardant laces in them. Overall, I think they are a good value boot. I am just as impressed with these as some of the more expensive boots I have had in the past. I will let you know what they are like in a couple of months time. Read Less

I bought a pair of Stealth Force 8.0 Leather CT/CP boots after my then current employer issued timberland toecap boots had expired. I have owned several pairs of magnum footwear before, so when i was told we could order our own boots magnum was the first place I looked. My choice was only limited by the need for toecap reinforcement and with the advertised lightness of the composites used, i immediately started looking at the stealth range. I opted for the full length 8.0 versions as i have used before and currently own a pair of Elite spider 5.0 which are great. The longer length gives me better ankle support I feel. As a carpenter i wear these boots on and off site everyday, so they see Rain,Sun,Wind, Snow, Mud, Paint, Sand, Cement, Concrete you name it my boots have been seen it or been thru it. I have been wearing them for nearly 18 months now and they are still as comfortable as the day I bought them. I have added a set of the Fast access zips to the front now as they make them easier to remove, I must be getting lazy in my old age. I have recommended these to countless collegues who have now converted from other Brands because when you live in your boots comfort is the most important thing. My next pair when I eventually have to replace my SF 8.0's will definately be another pair, I can not praise them enough. Read Less

I needed to find a pair of boots that were to EN20345 as the Highways Agency specify that safety footwear is worn at all times on duty. The Magnum range is quite poor when it comes to a range meeting these requirements, it could (and should!) be improved as they are loosing out on sales in this sector. I was pointed towards the Stealth Force 8 and then found that they did it in a waterproof version, great where stuck out on motorway for hours in a downpour, only problem is that the waterproof version that has composite toe and sole and meets EN20345 is only available in a side zip version. This totally negates the usefulness of the high tech. waterproof coating as you will have wet feet as soon as you step in a puddle, surely a waterproof gusset behind the zip would have not been too challenging for the designers to consider. Also the sewn in tongue only goes up to the bend point on the foot, this needs to be higher to prevent ingress of water. This left me not wanting the waterproof version with side zip so that only left the Stealth Force 8.0 CT/CP. Sorry that I seem negative but surely we can all benefit from constructive comments from people who have had genuine good and poor experiences. The last problem i found was that there are NO HALF SIZES, I tried on both the 8 and 9 and found that 8 bit small and 9 far too big, something to consider maybe. I now have got the Stealth Force 8.0 in a size 8 and will give full and honest feedback on how they are settling in shortly. First impressions are good only problem so far is that the removable insole comes up too far at the heel area, soon as put the boots on they were comfy except in the heel. Please dont take any notice of my star ratings at present as boots are new so unable to comment fully!!!!!!!! Read Less

It's early days with my new pair of Stealth Magnums. I've been wearing Magnums for over 10 years, and this is my 4th pair. In the past I wore the Protector ST, so was interested in how the new design and technology would compare with the old style safety boots. I've been wearing boots in the field for over 20 years, but have never worn anything as comfortable, light and supportive as Magnums. I was not disappoint4d with the new Stealths. Magnums offer arch support I've never found in another boot, but the Stealths exceeded the foot support I've always enjoyed with the Protector. Not only do I find that the foot support cushions the sides and the sole of my feet, but the cushioning and support around the ankles is much greater too. The boots still allow exceptional agility which is crucial in my work environment where I may be jumping in out out of trenches and archaeological pits and ditches, walking miles along a pipeline, or picking my way over uneven ground on a building site. I plan on giving these boots more reviews as I break them in, but I have to say the Stealths are incredibly comfortable for brand new safety boots. I look forward to a long, muddy and dusty work life with them. Read Less

Bought these boots well over 18 months ago. No blisters, comfortable from day one, like my old favourite slippers now, totally moulded to my foot shape. Good solid build. The zip is a must, even if you only require ingress and egress morning and night, but do not over tighten when initially lacing. I'm in these boots upwards of 18 hours a day in all weather and temperature conditions. The composite toe cap and plate remain at a constant comfortable temperature in all enviroments so won't fry or freeze your feet. The tread provide excellent traction and I've never had wet feet in water even above ankle height. The stability and protection given to the ankle is excellent, last year I was struck by a hit & run driver and without these boots I would have had a broken ankle. Other than normal wear and tear these boots are the same now as when I bought them. If you want comfort, safety and durability your not going to find better. Read Less
