ROYAL NAVY PUTS MAGNUM TO THE TEST

It has just been announced that a brand new uniform for the Royal Navy is being trialled by sailors on board HMS Daring, whilst they are on operations in the Gulf.

During the six month trial, which is also taking place on board HMS Westminster and HMS Talent, new shirts, trousers and boots will be tested.  Known as the Number 4 uniform, this has traditionally been a light blue shirt and navy coloured trousers.

Instead, the new combat uniform is all dark blue and comes with various layers to suit all weather conditions - a t-shirt, shirt, thermal fleece and windproof smock.  It also includes a belt and a new pair of MAGNUM Stealth Force 8.0 SZ CT CP WPi boots, which feature a convenient side-zip. “The boots are very comfortable … especially for people who are stood on their feet all day and with the zip it makes it easier to just pull them on and off” comments Lieutenant Commander Ben Hughes, HMS Daring's Logistics Officer. "MAGNUM are extremely proud to be a part of these trials and are confident our boots will prove to be an essential part of the new uniform" comments UK MAGNUM Director, Glen Richards.
