Elite Spider 8.0 Initial Review
By Nate 13/06/2010
An initial review of the Magnum Spider 8.0 tactical boot. Light, strong, practical, and comfortable indoors at room temperature or outside in the bone chilling cold. These breathe, but even spending a half hour in -7*F (-22* C) my feet stayed warm. You can't ask for much more than that.Share
Slip resistance on ice is good, but not exceptional. Slip resistance in soapy water on vinyl tile wasn't too hot either. Long story, but at least I didn't fall.
Nice boot for everyday use. VERY practical. Light and fast as well. Hadn't fully broken them in when I made this video, so I couldn't attest to their durability. Comfortable as far as cushioning and fit. The cushioning isn't too much or too little. It seems just right.
I just wish they had the eyelets for the laces like the Elite Force boots have. Those would make them much easier to tighten and tie in a hurry.
One thing I should add is, when buying Magnum boots, I always order one size smaller than what you typically wear. For instance, I'm usually a size US 11, but with Magnum boots, I'm a US 10.5.
I plan to do a follow up video in early August 2010.
