    Color: Black
Length Of Time Owned: 1 Year
Used For: Running, Hiking, Cadet CS95 uniform, Fieldcraft, Paint-balling, Work-wear/General Wear.

I would consider these boots, by far the best pair of boots I have ever owned, they still feel like they are brand new and they are highly versatile.

Although I Use them for purposes they generally tend not to fall into, they still prove the better pick compared to more specialized footwear.

    When Used For Running:
When I use them for running, be it on a treadmill, on a pavement, or on grassland, they will provide so much comfort to the foot, thanks to the EVA mid-sole no doubt, Unlike my old running shoes, I don't feel the impact of my foot on the ground, as much, meaning I'm much more willing to run further, than I would if I was wearing my running shoes. Being a boot, it also helps to stabilize the ankle, and reduce the likelihood any bad footing from occurring.
For running, I'd say they were much better than expected!

    When Used For Hiking/Long Walks

I recently completed a Duke Of Edinburgh expedition, which required me to walk 15-20 miles a day for 2 days, I was in a large group, and I was one of 2 people who didn't come back complaining of blisters, or sore feet, the boots have an unprecedented comfort factor, and they give you, again, the willingness to carry on, as the EVA mid-sole cushions your foot, and the 3D2 insole provides you with a lot of direct comfort and cushioning. With the boots on, you aren't enduring, you are enjoying.
The ankle support that the boots gave me while walking up hills and along the side of them was truly something I was glad to have had, as walking shoes, I know, wouldn't have done the same. While I had the ankle support of a boot, I had a lot of freedom of movement, which also came in handy for those steep welsh hills and the bumpy terrain that normally accompanies them.
It isn't the first time I've taken them on a long walk, I walked 24 miles around the local coast in a single day without such as a bad thing from them, they provided much more grip and support on sand than I had anticipated.

After long walks, I'll take them off, and they won't kick up any sort of smell, heck, my feet never get to that point when wearing these anyway, because they are incredibly breathable at the foot, big plus if you don't like smelly boots at the end of a long day.

Even when I had to trudge through some water and they got wet, they were still comfortable to wear, okay the water gets in very easily, but it didn't compromise their performance in my eyes.

When Used For Cadet CS95 Uniform:

The boots have a good polishing surface on the toecap, much appreciated. The only qualms I have with them is because they are so good when it comes to grip, turning on parade can be a bit of an issue, but these days, if it's a general CS95 parade night, I will use another pair of boots.
In cadet and non cadet activities that require more active movement on more natural terrain (such as paint-balling) I will always make sure I have these on, as they are much lighter, and more nimble than the other boots and also have a good degree of protection if someone decides to fire paint balls at your feet and lower legs

For Use as Work wear/General wear:

For work where heavy objects are involved, obviously you aren't going to use these, as they aren't steel toed, and the second something heavy lands on your foot, you are going to feel it. when my friend stepped on my toe, the leather "caved in" and had to be popped back up, thankfully a bit of polish hid the damage fairly well, but I wouldn't recommend them for that line of work.

when I'm generally wearing them, they are very good, they go well with pretty much anything (except skirts and dresses) and they feel like slippers.

I've never had to buy new laces for my pair, the laces that they come with are like little ropes, they are so tough!

Only qualms really are that they are a pain to put on at first, as the laces are very stiff at first, and obviously, being boots, they aren't going to be something you can just magically slip into. Cleaning them is also a nuisance as things can become stuck in the out sole easily and also the varying outer materials tend to allow the dirt become clogged up too. but once they are clean, they rarely get that mucky again.

But even though the laces are really annoying when you first get them, you won't need to break them in, they are good from day one.

Mine still have a lot of life left in them, despite the wrinkles, muck and all that jazz, they have only just started wearing away now, but it's barely anything if I'm honest, I would recommend these boots to anyone looking for a decent pair.

Thank you Magnum, for designing such an excellent pair of boots
