Add a Review Stealth Force 8.0 SZ
By John 21/12/2011
Hi I'm John. This is my first review and I want to review my Magnum Stealth Force 8.0 nylon & leather SZ. I bought these boots after a long search on internet and consulting colleges. I had to choose between several Magnum boots, Adidas GSG9.2, Haix and Bates. My instict told me that the Stealth Force would be an very good value for money and that is, with the reviews here, the reason I bought these.分享 Share
I have them now for over 10 months. I wear them every day at work, 8 to 9 hours of standing, walking, running and driving. I don't read a lot about driving with boots, but driving is a grat part of my job and it is very pleasant with a boot like this that is flexible so you can easily use the pedals in the car. We in Holland don't drive automatic, so we use the left foot alot with the stick-shift. I also wear them when I train with my CRC-squad. They are great running shoes then. Just for training. When I go into "battle" I have to wear the standard S3 boot provided by the Service.
What can I say about the Stealth Force. It's a super, super comfortable boot. They realy have comfort build in. Flexible sole, good cushioning, good ankle-support, grippy outsole, roomy toebox and good fit overall. I like that I can polish them. I like them very much and would buy them again in a heartbeat.
Is it all perfect? No it isn't. I noticed a few minor downsides. At first the biggest problem. The insoles, sock-liners or whatever you call them, are very comfortable but wear out pretty fast. After 7 months there were bog holes under both my big toes. So I replaced them with new ones, not from Magnum, and the problem was solved, but I think that they can last longer if they are made from a more duable material. The second thing is that the boots start to get rough edges at the inside of the heel. With thicker socks you don't notice it (much) but it is there.
What can I further say about wearing them 10 months. Outsoles hold up very good, still grippy, no excessive wear. Leather and nylon are in perfect condition. I wouldn't buy them with a zipper again. Thats personal and has nothing to do with that the zippers are broken. Thay aren't and work fine. It's just that when a zipper breaks, and they can, there is a high risk that the boot is gone. unusable. If a lace breaks, you simply replace it and it works fine again. So my zippers work fine but I do take good care of them because I don't want them to break. I hope I can wear them for a long time.
Beside these Stealth Force boots I ordered a pair of Magnum Elite Spider 8.0 boots so I don't have to wear one pair all the time. And I hope they are as good as the Stealth Force. I have had a lot of very good boots, but these are in the top 3 of best boots I've ever had. I have to say actually they are the best because the 2 other boots cost double the price of the Stealth Force!
Overall I can recommend these Stealth Force 8.0 to anyone. Also they come in differt versions for different needs.
