I need a lot from my boots.

As ex-military of 22 years, a College lecturer delivering Uniformed Public Service courses, Stewarding Courses and the SIA Door Supervisor Course, I need something that will stay with me in all roles - and not let me down. In addition, I hold a front line Door Supervisor licence - so I need footwear than can go from clubs to fields and concert venues with minimal maintenance and maximum performance.

Having work Magnums in the military, I knew that I needed a pair - no other boots were going to be able to do what I wanted.

I decided to come to a pair of Strike Force boots after friends had recommended them as being "multi-role". They were not wrong. From being in the "pit" at the Foo Fighters to working at Indie and Folk Festivals they have put up with all sorts of abuse - accidental and deliberate! They have also completed a term at College now - daily wear in and out of classrooms - and even in the gym! The soles are testament to how much punishment they are soaking up now....with more festivals on the horizon and wet, damp, nasty conditions, I am confident that I am not going to be stuck "bootless" (and wageless!) any time soon.

My students have all sorts of "favourite" boots, but I have noticed a slow transition to "what are you wearing...?" - and more Magnums are appearing on their feet. They work with the students in class, in the field and also when they work on stewarding and security details with me - and the guys and girls don't go home footsore and limping!

Overall - good boots, good multitaskers and excellent value for money. Gripe? Don't know yet - perhaps an upgraded insole for when the fitted one inevitable starts to suffer?
