Stealth Force 8.0 Leather CT&CP (416) Day 1
By Gerard 25/08/am
Today I've bought my first pair of Magnums from an army dump store. I came there because I'd like to wear combat boots, and my old ones were totally torn apart. When walking there this afternoon, my eye fell for the wide collection of brand new Magnum boots they offered. They were aesthetically pleasing, and looked pretty solid. Personally I like high boots, and I wanted some really solid ones. That limited my choice to a few, and after looking at them for a while I decided to try a few out. Quickly I came to the conclusion that I liked the Stealth Force 8.0 Leather CT&CP (416) most. It's a high boot with composite toes - making it airport friendly, although I would still have taken it if it was airport unfriendly - and a wide list of specifications. But most importantly, it did fit my foot, and I f-ound it a good walk.Compartir
I did have some doubts, to be honest. When I walked in the store, I noticed that my heel came a little loose while walking. A smaller size wouldn't be an option, since that fit perfectly. I tried some insoles, but they made it only worse. I wasn't entirely sure if this would become an hindrance, or if I would get used to it. In the end I decided to buy the shoe anyway, and have a go for it.
This evening I could immediately field test it. I had to cycle 45 minutes to get to a party, where I walked and sat for a few hours, and cycled 45 minutes back. Even tough my feet still have to get used to the boots (or the boots have to get used to my feet), I walked pretty easy on them. The nuisiance of new shoes wasn't that bad. But most important of all, I didn't notice the lifting of the heel that much. This convinces me that in due time, the shoe will perfectly fit my feet.
I will not use the shoes (if all goes well) for some heavy or extreme duty, but just for regular use as my day-to-day shoes. I can't say much yet about them, since this is the first day I have them, but I intend to share my experiences in the future. So stay tuned.
